Remove Metadata

PDFs created by Word, Google Docs, or Acrobat routinely store author usernames, company names, exact creation and edit timestamps with local timezones, computer paths, and printer model signatures.

Not at all. Metadata is stored in non-visible dictionary streams. Removing it has zero impact on your visible text, fonts, margins, or printing quality.

In Selective Redaction mode, you can check 'Embedded File Attachments' to purge files attached to the PDF catalog (/Names /EmbeddedFiles) that might carry external data.

The selected dictionary values and metadata packets are omitted from the newly written output. This tool does not inspect sensitive information that may be visible on pages or embedded inside image pixels.
